Braver Angels - Disagreeing Better Workshop

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. “ 

We all share this common thread- freedom, domestic tranquility, and equality.  Yet, today, our country is divided; a division that separates many of us from friends who hold different political views.  This division prevents us from addressing major issues facing the country.  

Braver Angels, a nation-wide organization, focuses upon bridging “the partisan divide and strengthening our democratic republic.” They hold workshops (and other programs) throughout the country. Their goal is to enable polite and respectful conversation with others.

Braver Angels is holding a workshop on October 8, 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  This workshop is open to everyone.  You will learn about the values and concerns of the other political side and practice skills for communicating more effectively in the presence of disagreement.  Please register using the link below, on the bulletin board in the Neal Gathering Place or by contacting the office at 717-737-0439 by Sunday, September 27.   Questions?
